Alexi’s Enlistment Helper is a class scheduling tool built and maintained by Alexi, a student at Ateneo de Manila University. It is an independent student project and is not an official Ateneo service.

This page explains what information the app stores, where it is stored, how it is used, and how you can delete it.

Using the app without an account

You can use the app without signing in.

When you do not sign in, your plans, bookmarks, and settings are stored only in your browser’s local storage on your device. This information is not sent to the app’s servers and no copy is stored elsewhere.

Clearing your browser’s site data will remove this information from your device.

What is stored when you sign in

Signing in with Google is optional. It allows your plans and preferences to be synchronized across devices.

When you sign in, the app stores two types of information.

Google account information

The app receives:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • A link to your Google profile picture

The app does not receive your Google password.

Schedule data

The app stores the information needed to save and synchronize your plans, including:

  • Classes and sections you have selected
  • Names of your plans
  • Courses you have added manually
  • Bookmarks
  • Display preferences, such as whether rooms are shown on the calendar

Support access

The person who runs this app can view account information — your plans, your preferences and the email address you signed in with — in order to answer support requests. Every time an account is opened this way it is recorded, along with who opened it and when.

Usage is measured only as weekly totals: how many accounts exist, how many were active, how many plans were saved. Those totals are counts and contain nothing that identifies anyone.

What the app does not do

The app does not:

  • Connect to AISIS or other Ateneo systems
  • View or modify your actual enlistment
  • Store grades, student numbers, or other academic records
  • Sell or share your personal information
  • Use advertising
  • Track your activity on other websites

The class catalog contains public course information and is not associated with individual accounts.

Who can access your data

Your plans are associated with your account and are not visible to other people using the app.

Alexi operates and maintains the service and has technical access to the database. This means that information stored in the database may be accessible to him when necessary to operate, maintain, or troubleshoot the app. User data is not routinely reviewed or shared with Ateneo or other third parties.

Information may be disclosed if required by a valid legal obligation or lawful request.

Where your data is stored

The app uses the following services to operate:

  • Convex stores account information, plans, and preferences and provides the database infrastructure.
  • Google handles Google sign-in. Your Google password is never seen by this app.
  • Vercel hosts and serves the website.
  • Cloudflare provides network and security services.
  • Google Analytics measures how the site is used, so it is clear which parts are worth keeping and which are not.

Vercel and Cloudflare may process standard technical information associated with requests to the website, such as IP address, browser type, and requested pages, for limited periods.

The class catalog is public information and is not linked to your account.

Cookies

One cookie is used after you sign in, to keep your session active.

Google Analytics sets its own cookies to tell repeat visits apart from new ones and to measure which pages are used. These record how the site is used, not who you are: they are not linked to your account, your name, or your email, and nothing you enter here is sent to them.

No advertising is served on this site and nothing here is sold to anybody.

To opt out, set analytics-optout in your browser’s local storage for this site, or block the cookies in your browser. Google also publishes an opt-out add-on. Opting out does not affect anything the app does.

Deleting your data

You can delete your data at any time.

  • Sign out with “clear these plans off this device” enabled to remove the local copy from your current device while keeping the data associated with your account.
  • Use “erase every plan on this device” under Help and Support to remove the local copy. When signed in, this also removes the copy stored in your account.
  • Use the delete button at the end of this section to remove your plans, preferences, and sign-in record.

Account deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.

Security

The app uses the security and authentication features provided by its infrastructure providers.

Connections between your device and the app are encrypted in transit.

No online service can guarantee complete security. If a security incident affects users’ personal information, reasonable steps will be taken to investigate and address it.

Changes to this page

If these data practices change, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.

Previously collected information will not be used for a materially different purpose without notice.
